Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a brand new blog! Eid Mubarak everyone! Hope everyone has had a great week. Mine is still pretty hectic. I got unit tests starting from wednesday so I’m like extra busy now. So let’s begi nthe review of this movie ‘Wonder Woman’!
This super hero, action film was directed by Patty Jenkins and is a DC films production.
Duration: 2 hours 21 minutes (141 minutes)
- Wonder Woman/Diana Prince (Gal Gadot)
- Steve Trevor (Chris Pine)
- General Antiope (Robin Wright)
- General Erich Ludendorff (Danny Huston)
- Ares (David Thewlis)
Diana Prince was once part of a tribe on the hidden island of Themyscira. On encountering and saving American pilot, Steve Trevor she hears about the war going on in the world and is determined to set off and create peace and find her half-brother Ares. As things go on, Diana realises her true potential and decides to become Wonder Woman!
This movie was honestly over hyped. The amount it was praised (especially by all my friends) was not as worth it. That being said the movie is… how do you say… decent. It did live up to the fact that it is a DC movie and is not as childish as Marvel ones (begin the hate). The story line was honestly very weak and her past is very poorly displayed which is kind of disappointing. The action scenes on the other hand were some of the best I’ve seen. Very well directed and very clean action scenes. It was very easy to understand what was going on unlike in some/most action scenes of action films. The movie was very dragged out and required a much more powerful core back story to be focused on to make it more interesting. I do feel some music would’ve added some hype to the film. Ahh! Now I know how to say it! The story was bland. There was no real purpose to it. I guess this was the basis being laid for wonder woman’s story to keep us prepared for the justice league and future wonder woman films. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this movie but if you’re a DC fan you should. Overall ok.
I would give this movie 3/5 stars.
