Bungou Stray Dogs (Season 1): Anime

Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a brand new blog. Hope everyone has had an amazing week. Last 2 exams!! :)! Lot of anime posts. I guess next week I’ll do a movie or TV show. So let’s begin.

This action, supernatural anime was written by Kafka Asagiri and was aired in April, 2016.

No. of episodes: 12

  • Atsushi Nakajima
  • Osamu Dazai
  • Doppo Kunikida
  • Junichirō Tanizaki
  • Ranpo Edogawa
  • Akiko Yosano
  • Ryūnosuke Akutagawa

Atsushi is an orphan whom everyone rejects. Unaware of his abilities, he’s taken into the Armed Detective Agency where he meets new people and is given a home and a a stable job. His abilities are put into good use. Encountering the main enemies, the Port Mafia, who the Armed Detective Agency must take down to protect the people of the city. But the Port Mafia are after something more important in the Armed Detective Agency.

As opposed to my first impression review on this anime I will begin by saying that the ending song is absolutely perfect for this anime and its just perfectly placed after each episode. That being said, the opening wasn’t all that great. The thing that I said about it being really repetitive still holds though. There are quite a number of scenes where the thing is repeated over and over again until you just get sick of it. This all being said, the anime is great! From the action to the comedy to each characters personality was absolutely fantastic. Dazai’s character has a lot of secrets and I just ADORE his personality. Can’t wait to see season 2. This anime could’ve easily been more than 12 episodes because they really rushed into a lot of things in this. The anime lacked  lot of suspense but still provided a level of awaiting to see the next episode. This anime also perfectly displayed a good level of seriousness along with a perfect balance of comedy. The enemies were really cool and well displayed. I will recommend this anime but not to beginners. Overall awesome!!

I will give this season of this anime 3.5/5 stars.
