Review:

This show does not deserve all the hate it gets. It has the perfect combination of realism, great acting, great story and great directing. One episode, one tape. Perfect! I just love this show when it comes to how the story slowly and steadily unravels itself. This show should have a big (and I mean BIG) disclaimer on being at least 16+ because of a lot of the scenes  and a lot of bad language. But, this show couldn’t be better in the fact that no matter how far away they got away from the main plot of the show (the suicide) they would always bring it back to the main plot. Very to the point. The music complimented the show perfectly by binding the whole show together. One thing I really didn’t like was how depressing this show was. I hope it’s not true, but, this show really shows us how sad and depressing U.S. families are. How there are so many family and life problems. It felt like I was watching a documentary on depressing American families. Well, I guess this is where the appreciation for realism comes in which I really liked. The first few episodes were quite boring but, give this show time and it really does get better. The ending especially was especially quite interesting. The last episode had wayy to much going on all at the same time and it was a bit thought to keep up. But, the show was very very entertaining and held my attention the entire time. I’m quite curious to see what season 2 will be about. I would recommend this show (not to kids). Overall impressed!

Rating:

I would give this show 3.5/5 stars.
