After Superman’s death, there is an uneven level of power on earth. Steppenwolf, an ancient warrior who was imprisoned for a millennium after a brutal war, has come back to earth and wishes to combine the three power blocks and create an apocolypse. Bruce Wayne decides to gather up some of the strongest super heroes to form the ultimate super hero team ‘Justice League’ and defeat Steppenwolf and protect the planet from future danger.
I was really debating on whether I should’ve watched Justice League or Thor: Ragnarock but the movie timing of Justice League were better so I went for it. Starting off, the movie had a great opportunity to do an amazing introduction to all the superheros but failed to do so. In the end, the introductions lacked the impact to surprise and get the audience excited. The scenes were passing by so fast it was actually confusing at first. Moving on, after the team has been assembled, they realize they require Superman otherwise they would be way too weak. Thus, they had to resurrect Superman. I’ll give them the benefit of doubt considering it’s fantasy. After Superman comes back to life we are given a nice fight scene between the remaining Justice League members and Superman. Oh man, the scene between Superman and the Flash was absolutely fantastic and honestly couldn’t be portrayed better than it was. Moving on, the movie did have some really dumb scenes (can’t exactly remember but I do recall pointing them out while watching). The fight against the enemy was quite sudden and anti-climatic until Superman came in. How all the members of the Justice League were getting kicked around and then Superman comes in and says, “You’re still dealing with this guy?” and just kicks him around and absolutely demolishes him. I guess this fight scene was the only good thing they did for an introduction to the Justice League. Towards the end there were a lot of speed races between Flash and Superman which I am DYING too see who wins. After credits was really cool with Luther and his new secret pan. The movie lacked a lot of music and didn’t have enough comedy and jokes. In movie wise I would say Avengers (Marvel) won. But, story and plot wise I would give it to Justice League (DC). I would definitely recommend this movie for a decent enough intro to the Justice League but it’s not like you’re missing out. Overall good.
I would give this movie 3/5 stars.
