A show that shows the daily lives of workers at the Dunder Mifflin paper company depicted in a hilarious way with the greatest boss and your everyday hilarious co-workers.
I saw this show around 5-6 years ago and I must say, it is something different. My brother just started the show and my dad is re-watching it and then I suddenly realized that I hadn’t reviewed this. The show is one of the most bland shows I have ever seen. No music, no real excitement, just plain, good comedy. Whenever I ask my dad, he says that his job was just like the one depicted in this show and it really does make everything look so fun.
The boss, Micheal, is an absolute king. He’s so kind and has such an amazing character that he doesn’t even realize when he is being stereotypical or condescending. He is just so cute and absolutely hilarious! Dwight and Jim are my forever ship. The way they play pranks on each other and the fact that they have known each other and worked together for so long makes it seem like a true friendship. Among all the comedy there is definitely some drama and romance like all shows require i.e. the forbidden love between Pam and Jim which does later develop into an awesome story. I love how every character complements the other and all of it binds together to provide some great comedy and each episode is just so exciting.
I can understand how this kind of comedy can come out to be sort of mellow and not appreciated but for me, it was right on the spot and felt absolutely great. The show’s opening song is so great that it has been my ring tone for at least a month now. Towards the middle of the series a lot does change in the show in terms of management and characters which does bring the show down a bit in terms of comedy. There were still some great moments and some note worthy scenes which, after so many years, have reappeared in the forms of memes.
The show is a definite must watch from my side. It’s one of those shows that you either love or hate. Nothing in between. Overall great!
I would give this show 4/5 stars.
