Review:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love biographies and this movie is the perfect example of that.

Tom Cruise couldn’t have done a better job playing the role of the crazy pilot. The movie depicts the whole ‘drug scandal’ going on back in the day in such an interesting manner.

The movie is not like every other biography where it focuses a lot on the information. This movie also gives us a ton of emotions in the form of humour, joy, anger, and sadness.

The way the movie was made was so well presented in the sense of its’ story, realism and development of plot. Each and every character added to the film and everything just worked together and helped bind the film like glue. The directing was absolutely on point and the music was just perfect.

I love how free this movie was on criticising the government and really putting themselves out there but not going too deep into the matter. We see shows like Narcos deal with Pablo Escobar directly. But, this movie shows us the whole drug issue from a different perspective that is what makes this movie different and remarkable.

The only negative of this movie would probably be how this movie has a lot of jump-cuts moving form scene to scene very quickly which was quite irritating but, I guess you can’t do much when you have to show so much in just 2 hours of time.

The movie was so realistic in its’ portrayal and I love that about biographies. The depiction of every scene from him as a normal pilot, to him joining the CIA, to him delivering drugs, to him getting caught, to his confidence, to his sense of humour, to his craziness, everything just made the film a worth it 2 hours.

The movie had me glued to the screen and really was an awesome watch. I would highly recommend to watch this movie. Overall amazing!

Rating:

I would give this movie 4/5 stars.
