Hey guys, how’s it going? Rahul here coming in with a brand new blog. I’m out at vacation right now so please excuse the late blog post. So, let’s begin.
The story discusses about the golden age of Hollywood and how cinema today has entered a new age. It revolves around TV star, Rick Dalton and his stunt double, Cliff Booth. A large cast and multiple story lines converge after offering a tribute to this golden age of Hollywood.
If you have seen (and I’m sure you must have) movies like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill, then you know exactly what this movie is going to lead to. Quenten Tarantino has made a beautiful film and it is all thanks to the best staff that he has chosen (considering I am a huge fan of Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt).
For starters, give this movie time. The first half of the movie is so slow and the story moves so steadily that your mind is left to run wild imagining at least 100 scenarios that end up never happening in the film. Of course, you have around 3-4 other stories running parallel to each other and if you know typical Taratino films then you know that they will all coalesce with each other by the end.
I can bet anyone 100 bucks that they will never be able to predict the end of the film. The build up to the final scenes of the movie had me holding my mouth when it all came together. Like always, Tarantino’s movie had my jaw dropped to the floor and I for one will not be someone to spoil such a spectacle.
After watching the end of the movie it made me realize how worth it the slow starting half was. With a perfect story, amazing cast, and a phenomenal, unexpected ending this movie was a great one that everyone MUST watch. However, what I will say is that Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill are way better. Still, a must watch nonetheless. Overall amazing.
I would give this movie 4/5 stars.
